Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use Portrait Plug: to make a free preview, order art and get help when they need it.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on every page of portraitplug.com.
What we've done
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Buttons, menus, style and size pickers, and forms work with a keyboard and show a visible focus outline.
- Form fields have labels, and error messages are announced to screen readers.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site turns off its animations.
- Each page sets its language, and the site is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
- You can make a free preview without creating an account.
Known limits
- We're still reviewing the whole site against WCAG 2.1 AA, including color contrast and focus styles, so some parts may not fully meet it yet.
- Your preview is a picture of AI-made art. We label it in text, but a screen reader can't describe every detail of your art.
- The before-and-after slider and the room previews are visual tools. They're optional; you don't need them to order.
- Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page, which Stripe runs. We can't change how it works.
- The printable gift and realtor cards are images. Each code is also shown as text you can copy.
- Our policy pages, including this one, are in English only for now.
