Privacy policy
We collect only what we need to make your portrait and deliver your order. We don't sell your data.
What we collect
- Photos you upload and the artwork created from them.
- Order details from checkout: your name, email, phone number (for delivery), shipping address and what you bought.
- Payment information is entered on Stripe's secure checkout. We receive confirmation of payment, never your full card number.
- Basic technical data such as your IP address, used to prevent abuse and limit free previews.
- Your email if you join our launch list.
How we use it
- To create your preview and artwork, process payment, deliver your download and ship your canvas.
- To email you about your order and answer support questions.
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
We never post your photos or artwork publicly without your permission, and we don't use them to train AI models.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run Portrait Plug, and only what each needs:
- Stripe: payment processing.
- Replicate: AI image processing to create your artwork from your photo.
- Printful: printing and shipping your canvas (your name, address, phone, email and the artwork).
- HostGator: website hosting and storage.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Photos and previews that aren't purchased are deleted within 7 days.
- For orders, we keep your photo and artwork for 60 days so you can re-download it and so we can handle reprints, then delete them.
- Basic order records (what was bought, when and for how much) are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe may use cookies on its checkout page to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them.
Children
Portrait Plug is meant for adults. Parents and guardians are welcome to order portraits of their children; children shouldn't use the site themselves.
