The photo matters more than anything else. A few seconds of setup gives a much better pet portrait.
Get down to their level
Shoot from your pet's eye height, not from above. The face looks natural and the eyes come out sharp.
Use daylight
Stand near a window or go outside in the shade. Skip the flash, which flattens fur and makes eyes glow.
Whole face in focus
Eyes, nose and ears should be sharp and in the frame. Tap the face on your phone screen to focus before you shoot.
Hold a treat by the lens
A treat or a squeaky toy just above the camera gets that alert, ears-up look in one try.
Upload the original
Use the plain photo, not a filtered or heavily edited one. Phone photos up to 30 MB are fine, iPhone photos included.

Yes. Cats, dogs and other pets all work. Two pets or a pet with its people can share one portrait if they're in the same photo, with every face clear.

No. The portrait is made from your photo with AI image tools, using styles we've designed. That's how you can see your pet portrait free in about a minute, before you buy.
Can I add my pet's name?
Yes. The Name & date add-on ($9) prints up to 32 characters in a band along the bottom of the art, like "Bailey · Est. 2019".
How long does shipping take?
Each canvas is printed to order in 2 to 5 business days, then US delivery takes about 3 to 7 business days. For Christmas delivery in the US, order by December 7.
What if it arrives damaged?
Email us within 30 days with a photo and we'll send a free replacement or a full refund. See the refund and shipping policy.
